The Quality Technician performs essential duties in controlling calibration of equipment, analyzes and prepares samples for internal and external customers, controls documents, audits finished product, and analyzes and solves quality problems.



Responsibilities include:

  • Prepares and analyzes samples for Production Part Approval Process including the preparation and entry of data into customer websites
  • Prepare and analyze samples for customer testing
  • Control equipment and process identified in the Calibration System.  Perform Measurement System Analysis (i.e.Gage R&R)
  • Weekly calibration of length and tension of Belt Analyzer Inspection Machines
  • Audit of Finished Product
  • Quarantine, control and sorting of product suspected to have a quality concern
  • Prepare, distribute and control work instructions and level four documents
  • Create Quality Alerts
  • Perform Internal Audits to ISO 9001 standards
  • Collect Data for Application and Development Engineering
  • Inspects, measures tooling and/or equipment for production release.  Use of optical comparator and other gages
  • Collect and analyze data on Returned Goods. Authoring of failure analysis’s as required
  • Creates Certificates of Conformance to customer criteria
  • Certify associates to quality procedures to complete associate training period
  • Additional duties with downsizing of the department
    • On floor inspection, (Not Audit) of product (Huge time consumer)
    • Inspections have doubled with quality issues coming out of raw edge.  Inspection has gotten more critical.  Separation, cord lay, clarity of brands. Gboost, Hunterworks, CFMoto
  • PCN (Product Change Notice) Routing and Control
  • Internal and Warehouse sorts for Quality Issues formally performed by Quality Tech
  • Packaging their own product and setting up for UPS/Fed Ex Sample Deliveries
  • Modify Work Instructions
  • Review and processing of Data for PCN release of Chloroprene product being converted to EPDM


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience, of which at least 5 must be in the Quality function
  • Additional relevant education and/or experience is a plus
