This position is responsible for the management of ALL plant operations on the midnight shift.

 

This role directs the group of production supervisors that are responsible for overseeing associates in all manufacturing departments responsible for the production of Belts for the Springfield plant.

 

Responsibilities of this key plant leadership team member include:

  • Ensure shift operations run safely and effectively to meet the objectives of the business (safety, quality, delilvery, and cost)
  • “Shift Operations” includes the following work centers:
    • PT Component Division: Mixing, Mill Room, Calendaring, Bias Tables, Cord Room, Butt Splicing
    • Wrap Molded Division: Build, Skive, Wrap, Band, Cure, Inspect, Pack
    • Raw Edge Division: Large Raw Edge Build through Inspect, Drum Repair, Jacket build, Small Raw Edge build through inspect/pack
  • Manage activities, processes, equipment and people (~80 people per shift)
  • Analyze processes and procedures to safely produce maximum service with minimal downtime
  • Manage employee relations including hiring, disciplinary action, training, coaching and counseling
  • Drive results and continuous improvement in the organization.
  • Conduct Safety and Quality audits

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, business, or other related field and

           minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience- at least 3 of which are in supervision.
