Purpose

Maintain ccurate inventory control and material handling by preparing shipments, receiving purchased parts and items, handling returned goods,  tracking movement of materials, and exercising other inventory control measures through use of accurate logs, files, reports, cycle counts, etc.

 

Job Essentials

  • Safety - daily participation and involvement in individual and team safety responsibilities such as Behavior based Safety, housekeeping practices, chemical labeling, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow all work instructions and training documents specific to the job function, such as handling returned goods, receiving purchased items and parts, returning items to stock, receiving and handling reworks, preparing Bills of Lading, utilizing daily reports, etc.
  • Maintain card files.
  • Maintain electronic files such as the Oracle, Hi Bay, DCMS, and others as instructed in work instructions and training documents.
  • Use computer system (SAP) to make administrative transactions.
  • Perform cycle counts.
  • Produce required reports such as receiving inspection report.
  • Maintain shipping supplies and storage containers.
  • Assist in maintaining Low Bay.
  • Store and retrieve materials from High Bay.
  • Operate forklift, chase cart, and sideloader.
  • Perform all required documentation.

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred

• Must be able to work well in a team

• Ability to read/write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials up to 35 lbs.

• Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
