Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour. Starting pay based on experience.

Position Summary:
Timken is seeking a qualified and skilled Maintenance Operator to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems within the facility. Your role will ensure that all mechanical and electrical components operate safely and efficiently, helping us maintain our highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery. This position also supports facilities, production equipment and gauging systems in the New Philadelphia Bearing Plant. This position implements and supports continuous improvement and process enhancement projects; troubleshoots and repairs mechanical & electrical problems; maintains and calibrates gauges; implements predictive and preventive maintenance programs; and maintains facility systems & infrastructure.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support production machine uptime and repair.
- Install, test, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical electrical systems and equipment, including motors, control panels, wiring and electrical devices.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Determine OE and replacement part requirements.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Repair and replace faulty electrical components such as circuit breakers, switches, and wiring.
- Maintain current calibration schedules on product gauges.
- Assist cross-functional teams to accomplish production and project goals.
- Ensure that electrical installations comply with local and national electrical codes.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation.
- Operate in varying environmental conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize production interruptions.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 18 years of age older
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
- Mechanical and/or electrical training program, or at least 1 year on-the-job experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Electrical license.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as an electrician.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
- Experience in reading technical documents and blueprints.
- Associate’s degree or higher in related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
