Job Requirements / Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to Lead, Motivate, and Communicate with all team members
- An acceptable level of math skills (addition, subtraction, fraction, division etc.)
- Able to stand 100% of work day
- Requires lifting (up to 40lbs –up to 95% per day) and material handling
- Must go through TMOS and complete with a passing score
Other Considerations:
- Demonstrated excellance in related manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated ability to initiate corrective actions and problem solving techniques
- Demostrated ability to respond to situations with minimum supervision
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing (i.e, 5 S, Problem Solving, Standard Work, etc.)
- Associate Degree in technical field is preferred
Job Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Lead one or more manufacturing cells while maintaining output and 100% quality goals
- Assist in constructing and tracking appropriate Key Process Indictators relative to the product line goals
- Focused on Continuous Improvement which includes standard work, set up and change over efficiencies and 5 S
- Perform periodic tasks as specified by standard work instructions
- Certified to perform all operations with the cell including set-ups
- Relieve / substitute as necessary for cell members to maintain output for cell
- Train and certify all cell team members
- Track cell performance indicators and execute cell help-chain as necessary
- Maintain cell visual management communication boards
- Lead team members to work safely and maintain housekeeping standards
- Insure compliance with quality systems by use of control plans, SPC, and proper gaging techniques
- Facilitate a constant flow of communication within team and between shifts
- Report team progress and individual team member needs to the Department Supervisor
- Work with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Production Control to understand team objectives and customer requirements
- Promote a positive team work environment
- Maintain knowledge of current quality and safety system(s) and other regulatory compliance related to this position
