Position Summary:  The Inventory Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management processes within the facility. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to engage with leadership to enhance safety performance. The Inventory Analyst will audit adherence to inventory-related processes, manage cycle counting, and oversee transaction audits to ensure inventory accuracy in both physical locations and SAP.

 

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Safety Compliance: Be knowledgeable in and practice all safety procedures, engaging with leadership to improve safety performance within the department.
  • Cycle Counting: Own the cycle count process, direct the cycle counter, and report monthly cycle counting results to justify annual inventory exemption requests. Maintain six consecutive months of passing the cycle count program to obtain the exemption.
  • Transaction Audits: Ensure transactions accurately reflect the physical location of inventory within the plant and in SAP. Analyze transactions to identify gaps and update training or work instructions as needed.
  • Discrepancy Investigations: Own investigations of any inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and develop countermeasures.
  • Training and Work Instructions: Create training materials and work instructions for individuals responsible for daily inventory transactions in SAP. Provide real-time coaching to production employees on inventory transactions.
  • Handheld Scanner Support: Troubleshoot and train employees on handheld scanners in partnership with operations and IT.
  • Inventory Adjustments: Analyze and execute inventory adjustments. For adjustments under $100, act independently; for adjustments over $100, set aside, meet with finance, and provide justification for the adjustment.
  • Physical Inventory: Serve as a key contributor to the annual physical inventory process, including audit and training responsibilities.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • High school diploma with 5+ years of experience in a related field.
    • Experience with SAP and inventory cycle counting/warehousing.
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
    • Forklift license.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerBI and Excel.

 

The yearly compensation for this role is $52,960 - $69,510, is commensurate on experience and education, and could pay more or less than the posted range.
