PURPOSE

This position is responsible for creating a detailed production schedule using SAP to meet customer demand requirements while minimizing inventory investment and maximizing capacity utilization and productivity.  The scheduler must ensure that components are on-hand and available when needed to meet the production schedule. Control de performance for production line according to production schedule cascaded from corporate. Control the work in process material aling to the invebntory KPIs

 

RESPONSIBILITY

  1. Work with Corporate Supply Chain to receive plan orders and assign, schedule, maintain, and load the schedules that flow through assigned MRP controllers to meet customer demand.
  2. Convert plan order to production orders according to demand requirements.
  3. Analyze / calculate line capacity in order to balance / accomplish customer demands.
  4. Analyze the flexibility of production lines to assign production shifts according to people avalability.
  5. Analyze material delivery and move orders into customer request where possible.
  6. Follow up on expedites that flow through assigned MRP controllers.
  7. Monitor the % of scrap reported from production lines to balance production demands.
  8. Provide scrap report in order to control de Annex 24 in IMMEX program.
  9. Work with maintenance department to program preventive maintenance during the year for production lines.
  10. Provide WIP report in ordet to control Production floor storage location, compare inventory in parts against inventory in USD.
  11. Work closely with shipping and/or stockroom associates through day to day administration, proper documentation, timeliness, and customer service.
  12. Address MPS exception messages in SAP.
  13. Measure and monitor the schedule attainment process. Participates in the daily TMOS meetings.
  14. Participate in the weekly supply meeting.
  15. Perform capacity evaluations and leveling for all the lines installed.
  16. Make recommendations on changes to work center availability, utilization and rates.
  17. Technically complete production orders and troubleshoot confirmation issues between SAP and shop floor
  18. Review excess inventory reports and take appropriate action.

SKILLS

  • Experience with production planning processes in a manufacturing facility  
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with knowledge of SAP  
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing system
  • Experience in raw material planning
  • Experience in warehouse (raw material supply to production lines)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering
  • Preferred Masters Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering
  • 3 years experience in production planning, SAP, raw material planning
  • 3 years of experience as a Productio Scheduler or Supply Chain Analyst
