  • Analyze accounting transactions and information to summarize current financial position
  • Collect data and perform research on details of transactions Generate, review, analyze and communicate financial data that reflects actual financial performance against approved budgets Prepare and present quantitative and qualitative analyses focusing on variances from budget and prior data
  • Capture, track, and report revenue and expenses; determine appropriate procedures for accounting record preparation, research of transactions and reporting Oversee, reconcile, and resolve problems relative to complicated accounts
  • Maintain and review accounting process controls and implement any approved modifications; perform preliminary analysis and report outcomes
  • Run and analyze moderately complex financial reports, often from multiple systems; prepare basic management information reports
  • Evaluate, certify, and coordinate ledger entries in adherence to rules, while guaranteeing that close activities are accomplished promptly and accurately
  • Periodically assemble and evaluate monetary packages, while carrying out analytical processes fashioned to identify unusual variations and making sure that errors in monetary statements are discovered and corrected
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Responds to inquiries from internal and external auditors
  • Prepare and record journal entries and reconciliations and make necessary corrections to ensure the accuracy of our accounting system
  • Organize tax records and prepared documents for annual independent audit and tax return
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting and Inventory Accounting
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Perform month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to internal and external auditors
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Provide support to plant management
