   The Finance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day aspects of the business’s accounting and reporting functions.

The position will provide analysis and reporting of financial transactions related to inventory, production costs, income tax, cash management, AR/AP management, ad hoc projects and ensures compliance with all controls and policies to meet Rollon Group, Timken and legal regulations. This position will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s internal and external reporting requirements. Additionally, the manager will ensure policies and procedures are in place for compliance with SOX for accounting functions of this entity. The finance manager will be the company’s expert on accounting procedures and policies and is expected to evaluate the impact of new financial accounting pronouncements on the company’s reported results.

 

Responsibilities:

 

- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department

- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements

- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

- Timely and accurate completion of monthly accounting close and financial reporting package

- Business plan and financial forecast preparation and analysis

- Administration of general ledger accounting functions (development and input of general ledger journal entries, preparation of general ledger account reconciliations

- Coordinate and complete annual audits

- Coordinate and complete SOX and other relevant compliance audits

- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions

- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy

- Meet financial accounting objectives

- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for accounting and overall business processes

 

Qualifications:

-Advanced MS Office skills

-Strong communication skills

-Strong analytical skills

-Experience in various accounting finance disiplines (general accountinng, cost accounting, financial planning, accounting principles, laws and regulations). 

-Bachelor's degree in Finance or Acounting required, Master's degree preferred. 

- Minimum 7 years experience in Accounting or Finance required, 10 years preferred.
