Job Title:  Manufacturing Admin Assistant


Overall Purpose: To provide our leadership team with HR administrative support as well as being the main point of contact for our associates. This position will also assist with various production needs to achieve customer satisfaction in delivery and performance expectations.


Essential Functions:

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work.
  • Assists associates with administrative needs.
  • Assist with recruitment activities such as scheduling and conducting phone screens and on-site interviews.
  • Able to assist with all aspects of on-boarding such as preparing offer letters, processing new hire forms, assembling new associate files, verifying I-9 documentation, entering new hires into the system, and ordering badges.
  • Prepare materials for new hire orientation.
  • Answers or assists with payroll and benefits questions as well as policy interpretation.
  • Monitors associate timecards and submits contingent time to staffing agencies on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for tracking various types of data on spreadsheets including attendance, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Assists associates on the floor with various production needs.
  • Verify conformance of bearing components through visual and dimensional inspection using measurement instruments.
  • Identify defect types and record component information into data collection system.
  • Perform minor repairs including buffing, de-burring, and grinding using handheld rotary tools.
  • Document and communicate manufacturing performance issues to department supervisor.
  • Act as a role model, coach, and trainer for new associates to foster a team environment.
  • Keep workspace clean and organized.



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service focused mindset
  • Ability to operate with a high amount of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Candidates must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills


Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, twisting, bending, hand gripping, typing, data entry
  • Ability to perform repetitive or short-cycle work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Limited climbing on step stools or platforms.
  • Vision must be normal (20/20). Correctional lenses are acceptable.


Environmental Conditions:

  • Loud manufacturing environment, exposure to metals, machine lubricants, rust preventative, and other process chemicals, seasonal cold/heat.


Protective Clothing and Personal Devices:

  • Safety glasses, safety gloves, safety shoes, hearing protection.
