Purpose and Scope:

This position provides Human Resource support for the Bucyrus District and provides leadership and direction to the medical staff.

 

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position would include:

  • Responsible for the Bucyrus District efforts to recruit and retain outstanding hourly associates, and procurement of the contingent workforce. Conduct interviews and testing of applicants and participates in the continuous improvement of recruitment process with OA team. Provide solutions in terms of staffing, career management, associate development. Ensure right people at the right place at the right time by effectively implementing staffing policies and the Bucyrus Job Opportunity Policy.
  • Provide assistance to associates in the areas of insurance, retirement and other benefits. 3) manage the medical department to include absence control, workers compensation and wellness programs.
  • Serve as a business partner, who manages frequent communication with hourly associates and supervisors and by being a point of contact for associates and supervisors. Provide direction and counsel to associates and supervisors related to Bucyrus' policies. Support associate relations efforts by counselling, coaching and guiding shop floor supervisors on legal and disciplinary processes. Contributes to the development and implementation of new HR policies and procedures. 4. Deliver HR and OD services to the Bucyrus Operations in all four quadrants of the OA delivery model
  • Support the development and implementation of the performance management process for the hourly workforce. Facilitate, train, coach all shop floor supervisors on management responsibilities and related tasks/duties. Support training strategy to provide and maintain suitably skilled and well-motivated hourly workforce.
  • Employ lean and continuous improvement concepts to recommend and implement enhancements to processes and procedures in HR and the Medical Dept.  

 

Technical Skill and Education :  

  • Preferred Business Associates Degree, in HR or related or BACHELOR of Business Administration, HR or related  
  • Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing setting Strong Microsoft office suite knowledge (Excel, word, outlook) Strong verbal/written communication skills
