Wazee Crane, a division of Timken Motor and Crane, has an opening for an Operations Manager in Broomfield, CO. The role of the Operations Manager is to provide a seamless operational environment to achieve the company’s 100% TSB goals. The Operations Manager leads the operative team and sets the standard for safety, culture, and operational excellence. This position reports to the Business Manager.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

  • Supervise and direct all manufacturing and activities related to crane and crane related system production
    • Enforce employee discipline, productivity, safety, integrity, and efficiency.
    • Drive honesty and integrity on the shop floor, data collection, and accuracy of data.
    • Develop and maintain plant culture that places highest value on customer satisfaction, workplace safety, housekeeping, quality, and honesty
    • Conduct performance reviews, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as required/directed.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and communicate all aspects of operations schedule
    • Create, maintain, and update an accurate weekly production schedule and coordinate weekly production meetings
    • Identify production schedule risks and minimize potential impacts
    • Maintain documentation for changes to project scope, cost, and schedule
    • Ensure ERP and related system data accuracy to provide accurate forecasting and operational data
    • Promote and track corporate manufacturing and operational metrics
  • Manage operational aspects of business as they relate to business goals and 100% TSB operational goals
    • Drive profitability and productivity goals as set by the company, budget, and business manager
    • Ensure timely and profitable completion of WIP
    • Track and maintain inventory
    • Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain and oversee quality processes according to current ISO standards.
    • Participate in internal and external quality audits as necessary.
    • Update and maintain work instructions and ISO documents.
  • Coordinate with all aspects of business to ensure a seamless operational environment
    • Provides feedback before, during, and after on projects to help align labor hours, cost, and over-time, for future quoting accuracies.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships and trust with teams.
    • Interface with and support all other departments as needed
    • Function in a teamwork atmosphere for all endeavors.
    • Perform necessary customer presentations/shop tours during customer visits to facility as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors in business, business administration, or similar field; Masters preferred
  • 10 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing role; 15 preferred
  • 5 years of experience in supervisory or leadership role
  • Logistics or operations experience
  • Quality control and continuous improvement experience
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical components
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft 365/Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

The yearly compensation for this role is $96,000 - $132,000 is commensurate on experience and education and could pay more or less than the posted range.
